Basic Handgun
Basic Handgun is an introductory course. You will be taught the technique of the modern handgun, focusing on safety, weapons handling, basic pistol presentation and marksmanship skills, aspects of criminal and civil responsibilities associated with carrying a concealed weapon, elements of mental conditioning, methods of concealed carry, safe storage, and how to properly clean your firearm during this 1 day class. This course satisfies the Colorado training requirement to obtain a Concealed Weapon Permit.

Prerequisite: None
Ammunition: Student shall provide 100 rounds of ammunition for their firearm.
Attire: Shoes or boots shall be closed toe and should be comfortable and provide good support. Long pants are encouraged, though shorts are permitted, either of which shall be worn with a sturdy belt. Pants should be loose fitting to allow movement on the range.

Carry-On will provide firearms and ammunition for students as needed for this class only.
 

Intermediate Handgun
Intermediate Handgun is the natural follow-up to what is learned in Basic Handgun. We will discuss and develop your Combat Triad (mindset, skills, and tactics) to provide you with the confidence and competence necessary to improve your gun handling skills during this 1 day class. During this course you will learn proper presentation from the holster, implementation of verbal commands, proper use of cover and concealment, different types of reloads, clearing weapon malfunctions, shooting while moving, and the proper blend of speed and accuracy. Many of these skills will be taught under the pressure of a shot timer.

Prerequisite: Basic Handgun or demonstrated experience
Firearm: Student shall provide a reliable firearm and sturdy holster. Firearm and holster can be provided by Carry-On.
Ammunition: Student shall provide 200 rounds of ammunition for their firearm.
Attire: Shoes or boots shall be closed toe and should be comfortable and provide good support. Long pants are encouraged, though shorts are permitted, either of which shall be worn with a sturdy belt. Pants should be loose fitting to allow movement on the range.
 

Advanced Handgun
Advanced Handgun is a natural follow-up to what is learned in Intermediate Handgun. In Advanced Handgun we review the Intermediate material and quickly proceed on to advanced gun-handling skills. Then we push you for faster time-on-target. You will shoot on the move and on moving target arrays, and you will greatly increase your tactical skills during this 1 day class. In Advanced Handgun we introduce force-on-force training. You will use non-lethal munitions to solve problems involving walking, talking, thinking "bad guys"; you decide whether or not to shoot! All courses of fire in Advanced Handgun are timed and/ or under simulated stress.

Advanced Tactical Handgun
While there are no "advanced" gunfights, you should be as prepared as possible if ever faced with a deadly threat. Advanced Tactical Handgun is to further enhance the skills of the seasoned shooter. In Advanced Tactical Handgun you'll learn to handle your handgun better than you thought possible. In this 10 hour course you will learn one-handed manipulations and malfunction clearances, effective deployment of backup weapons, extreme distance target engagement, proper use of flashlights, and run though several force-on-force scenarios. Again, all courses of fire in Advanced Tactical Handgun are timed and/ or under simulated stress.

Ammunition: Student shall provide 400 rounds of ammunition for their firearm.

Tactical Shotgun
This 8 hour course will give you command of one of the least-understood weapons systems available. The shotgun can act as a breaching device, a less-lethal weapon system, or an effective fight-stopper, out to and beyond 100 yards. The shotgun's flexibility demands a special set of manipulation skills, which you'll own upon completing this course.
In Tactical Shotgun you will learn the marksmanship and manipulations that will allow you to effectively implement this weapon. You'll learn ammunition selection, continuity of fire, malfunction clearances and transitions to the handgun. Targets will be engaged from contact distances to over 100 yards. Completion of Tactical Shotgun will give you the skills necessary to defend your loved ones and your home.

Prerequisite: None
Firearm: Reliable12 gauge or 20 gauge shotgun, and a reliable handgun and holster.
Ammunition: Student shall provide 150 rounds of birdshot, 50 rounds of 00 buckshot or #4 buckshot, 20 rounds slugs, and 50 rounds for their handgun.
Attire: Shoes or boots shall be closed toe and should be comfortable and provide good support. Long pants are encouraged, though shorts are permitted, either of which shall be worn with a sturdy belt. Pants should be loose fitting to allow movement on the range.

Basic Carbine
This 8 hour course will give you the necessary skills to operate one of the most effective self defense weapons in production. You'll learn to properly manipulate the firearm, tactical and combat reloads, clearing malfunctions, proper shooting positions, use of shooting slings, use of various sighting systems, and proper transition to the handgun. You'll learn to implement the most efficient and effective means for getting first round hits up to and beyond 300 yards.

Firearm: AR15 style rifle, and reliable handgun and sturdy holster. Ammunition: Student shall provide 300 rounds of ammunition for their rifle, and 50 rounds for their handgun.
Attire: Shoes or boots shall be closed toe and should be comfortable and provide good support. Long pants are encouraged, though shorts are permitted, either of which shall be worn with a sturdy belt. Pants should be loose fitting to allow movement on the range.

 

Tactical Rifle
This 8 hour course will teach you the basics of operating all rifle types. You'll learn the ballistics and trajectories of your firearm, and understand the proper shooting position given the allotted time to execute the shot. Upon completion of the course you'll be able to safely manipulate your weapon, and depending on the rifle's capability, make consistent target hits beyond 500 yards.

Prerequisite: None
Firearm: Quality bolt action rifle with optics capable of identifying a target out to 500 yards. Ammunition: Student shall provide 100 rounds of quality ammunition.
Misc. Gear: Small backpack, medium weight jacket, bi-pod, etc. that can be used in the field as a stable shooting platform.
Attire: Shoes or boots shall be closed toe and should be comfortable and provide good support. Long pants are encouraged, though shorts are permitted, either of which shall be worn with a sturdy belt. Pants should be loose fitting to allow movement on the range.
